How to get to the Villa Colibri

From San José Airport in Alajuela via car.

1) Take Route 1 towards San Jose.
2) At "Circunvaliacion" take the exit to Tibas.
3) Approx 1 km after passing Walmart take turnoff to Route 32 to Guapiles and continue to Limon for some 3 hours depending on traffic.
4) Before reaching Limon CBD, turn right onto Route 32, located opposite to a McDonald's.
5) Continue on Route 36 to Puerto Viejo. Go through the town of Puerto Viejo onto Cocles, called Route 256.
6) Once reaching Cocles, go past 2 large supermarkets stores on your right, Super Cocles and then Super Negro.
7) Cross the Rio Negro bridge, 50 meters past the bridge turn right on first street, this is Calle Margarita.
8) Drive 100 meters into Calle Margarita, before the first hill, on the left hand side there are large wooden gates with orange column structure. You have arrived at Villa Colibri.

Option 2: Shuttle Bus from your hotel in San Jose.

There are three shuttle bus services that will pick you up at your hotel and drop you off at the nearest Hotel (Le Camelion) to Villa Colibri.

1) Caribe Shuttle.

2) Interbus

3) Mypinkbus

Suggestions:

1) If there are more than 3 of you it might be more economical renting a car than traveling by shuttle bus. The shuttle cost approx $60 one way.

Travellings once here:

1) Local taxis (Tuk Tuk) cost $6 one way from Cocles to Puerto Viejo. Maximum 3 passengers.

2) Bycicles hire in Cocles $6 per day.

Are Parties Allowed?

Parties are strictly not allowed at the villa. Guests will be asked to leave if we find otherwise.

Can Children stay at Villa Colibri?

Children over 10 years old are welcome to stay at the villa, however we do not allow children younger than 10 to stay at the villa. This is because the house is not childproofed and the balcony is not safe for small children.

Can Pets Stay At Villa Colibri

Pets are not allowed to stay at Villa Colibri, unless they are assitance animals.
